European Health Data Space

A sandbox you can use, not read about

Thirteen interoperability components running together — FHIR and openEHR, exchange and persistence, identity and mapping — with eighteen EHDS use cases you can walk through end to end.

Most EHDS material explains the regulation. This is the regulation as running software: a patient summary crossing a border, a record moving between two independent clinical data repositories, a research permit, an opt-out being honoured. Open, free, and nothing to install.

What is running

OpenMRS 3The EMR node that produces the data
MedplumSecond FHIR platform, OAuth2 and access policies
PHRThe citizen's record: access, consent, opt-out, proxies

Eighteen use cases, five audiences

Citizens and patients · health tech companies · healthcare providers · researchers · general. Twelve of them launch straight into the running software; the rest explain what cannot honestly be demonstrated by a transaction.
